In Loving Memory of David Barber
1963 – 2017
David James Barber, age 54, passed away gracefully from this earth on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Dallas, Texas, after a spirited and generosity-filled life.
David joined the financial services industry in 1986. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a BBA in Finance, David went to work as a Credit Analyst for Park Central Bank of Dallas. In 1991, David accepted a Financial Advisor position at Merrill Lynch in Dallas and was given the opportunity to complete the 2 year Professional Development Program.
David returned to his hometown of Lubbock, Texas in 1994 and continued to work as an advisor. In 1997, he accepted a position with City Bank of Lubbock advising clients and managing the brokerage division for the bank until early 2012.
And in February of 2012, with a philosophy of “Simplicity, Clarity, and Confidence”, West Texas Investments was formed and today, still remains well-recognized by the community.
David touched thousands of lives, enhancing clients ability to achieve lifelong goals. He was passionate about his work as a Financial Advisor, and was beloved by his clients. He had a big heart and was always wlling to take time to listen to clients, friends, and colleagues to offer a helping hand.
David was also a devoted husband and father, survived by his wife, Stacey, their two sons, Brandon and Travis, and two rescue dogs (Sheila and Huck).
Stephanie has worked in the financial industry since 1989. After graduating from Angelo State University with a BBA in Finance, Stephanie went to work as an insurance agent for Four Texas Insurance Services in San Angelo, Texas. In 1994, she accepted a Financial Advisor position at Primevest in Lubbock through Western National Bank.
In 1996, Stephanie took a position with City Bank of Lubbock advising clients through the brokerage division of the bank until 2012.
In February of 2012, with the philosophy of "Simplicity, Clarity, and Confidence", West Texas Investments was formed.
Stephanie has one son, Callen, and they enjoy traveling and attending sporting events. She also has two rescue cats that she enjoys.
Kim has been in the financial industry since 1981. She started her career working for Levelland State Bank in 1981 and would work for a Savings and Loan and several banks over the years until joining Edward Jones in 2008 before coming to West Texas Investments in February of 2013.
Kim has a husband, Rodney, daughter, Kendra, son-in-law Chase and two grandchildren, Ellie and True and dogs, Maggie and Max.
Kim enjoys attending Texas Tech Football, Baseball, and Basketball games with Rodney and vacations trips with her family.
